Get Fit Midterm Reflection

We are about halfway through the semester and Get Fit!! I feel like I actually made a really good decision to take this course instead of regular P.E. I have a lot of things to talk about, like:

Participation— I feel that I participate a lot in Get Fit. I've had some great days, like field trips and a lot of the fitness we do. I do feel like I work really hard in this class, but not really as hard as I want to. That's where I usually give into my lazy instincts, which sometimes stops me from getting where I want to be. My fitness, health, and friends really motivate me to work hard, and the image of me sitting on my couch all fat and those other beautiful details usually also gets me up on my feet!

Field Trips— Some of the most enjoyable field trips we've had this semester for me are the Taekwondo field trip, dancing, going to Sullivan Elementary, and ice skating! I really hope we can go do all of these again, and for where we are going back, I absolutely CANNOT WAIT. The dancing was a new(-ish) experience for me, because I have taken dance classes when I was little, for ballet and hip hop and stuff, but I've never tried kinds like lyrical and the style of dance we did at Panorama School of Dance.

Fitness— I feel like I've improved a bit in fitness, I'm almost where I want to be in beep tests and everything else, but not quite there yet. I want to be able to withstand being in the position where I want to just quit during a fitness activity for longer than my usual time. For example, running. I can usually handle it when I'm going at a reasonable pace for several minutes or so, but then when you just want to stop and curl up into a ball; that's the tricky part.

Important Events— The most important event for me this semester in Get Fit was definitely breaking that board at our Taekwondo field trip. I actually felt SO supercool and confident in front of everyone, and whenever I think about it again, I still feel so proud of myself. I felt like it I'd really done something huge to impress my peers, and I still cannot express how good it felt.

Overall, I feel like I deserve an A, or at least a really high B, to represent my progress  in Get Fit. In terms of percents, I would love to say 100%, but realistically, I'd say somewhere around 89% or 90%.
